Description: For auction are 10 strips cut from full sheets of custom Tivar Anti-Static Black UHMW. The full sheet was fly-cut on both sides to achieve a thickness tolerance of .250 + zero, minus .020. The strips being sold are 3/4" wide by at least 30" long. You will receive 10 strips for the buy-it-now price. (All orders will be bundled together for shipment.) (Photo shows a 20 strip bundle. Price is for 10 pc bundle) (See photo of label removed from full sheet of this material) These are "drops" from cutting conveyor belt wear strips. Note: Fly cutting the plastic on both sides reduces surface stressed created in the manufacturing process of the material. (Stresses caused by skiving or cutting only one side will cause the material to warp or bow.) They are offered in 10 PC lots and will be shipped bundled. Anti-Static UHMW is an excellent wear material. Sometimes known as "poor man's teflon." The Anti-static Tivar is also very UV resistant for applications that are outdoors. (Keeps it from getting brittle.) The static dissipation is measured in Ohms/Sq.in. and is around 10 to the 7th power. Making it ideal for ESD applications around electrons. The ability to dissipate static charges also helps reduce attracting dust and powder during operation. Price is below market value.
