Description: Offered here is an antique bisque head baby doll with composition body. The head is incised Heubach Koppelsdorf, 320.11/o, Germany, and has blue glass sleep eyes*, open mouth that reveals upper teeth, the eyebrows are feather stroke and the eyes have painted upper and lower lashes. The nostrils are pierced and the cheeks are richly blushed. *The eye had been replaced, neat plastering. There is a bit of glue residue on the outer perimeter of the head from pate and wig application. The wig was removed to stuff head for shipping so that rocker arm does not move. The blonde wig is labeled 100% natural hair, made in France with woven pate. The short style of the wig is suitable for boy or girl baby. Body is old composition with several coats of paint. The baby is dressed in handmade mustard yellow play suit with pearl buttons, lace trimmed collar and back snap closure. The elastic in sleeves and pant cuffs has died and needs to be replaced. The booties are crochet and the hat worn is not original to this doll but a hat was needed to hold the wig in place. This is a very sweet baby doll obtained from a local estate sale.
