Description: This is an original G.W. BROMLEY atlas map of Lower Manhattan. This map is dated 1907 and updated to 1912. It is on linen and measures 22x32. In VG+ condition. Map covers from New Chambers Street to Bayard Street - Columbus Park and from Broadway to New Bowery. Each color represents the type of structure. Yellow is wood, pink is brick, blue is iron and brown is stone. The X's through the buildings indicate it is a garage. The number inside the building indicates the number of floors. Brown indicates stone structures. A circle with a "t" indicates a fire hydrant. The map also indicates the names of the original deed holders and the double green lines the original streets of New York before the grid system came in effect!
