Description: Title: Sky and Telescope Date: May, 1975 Pagination: about 70pp in each issue (pp 275–338 in this issue) Condition: Good; covers scuffed and dingy from storage; no address label visible; some issues in this collection have had a bit of highlighting (they belonged to an Astronomy teacher); some foxing on fore-edge and bottom of text block where it sat on the shelf [OCR is approximate, as always] MAY, 1975 COVER: The trails of circumpolar stars and a bright meteor, as observed over the Green Mountains near Bondville, Vermont, by 13-year-old Marco W. Hellman of New York City (see adjoining column). The three-hour exposure with a standard 35-mm. camera on a tripod was begun about 10 p.m. Eastern standard time on November 23, 1974, a fine Saturday night with little wind. It is suggested that Atlas Borealis be used in identifying the fainter stars, since it is color coded to show spectral types and hence colors. Photograph copyright 1975 by Marco W. Hellman.
