This cool oversize ring celebrating Syracuse University Football's 1987 Eastern Conference Championship is from the Ernie Davis Club at Syracuse University that honors legendary Syracuse University Star Halfback and All-American Ernie Davis who won the Heisman Trophy in his senior year of 1961. He would sadly pass away in May of 1963. This ring is huge, measuring approximately 1.75" high, 1.75" wide, and 1.75" deep, and has some weight to it, making an impressive display, but it is not meant to be worn due to its huge size. The front says "1987 Eastern Champions". One side shows the words "Ernie Davis Club", a trophy, The Carrier Dome, and the number 44. The other side has the words "Syracuse University" with the Lambert Trophy and "11-0" underneath it. These rings were most likely meant to be presented to a small selected group. This would be a great item to add to your collection.
