Description: Forbes Field Postcards offered by the publisher. You are looking at a mint condition set of 24 full-color postcards of Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, PA. All 24 of the postcards are in full color. The postcards were printed from original Kodachrome slides shot between 1956 and 1970. The photos cover just about everything including interior and exterior views and aerial views of old Forbes Field. There are several shots taken during the 1960 World Series. There’s even a shot taken during a Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game in 1950. There are a couple of nice shots of the 1959 All-Star Game. Mickey Mantle is depicted waiting for a turn in the batting cage in one of those 1959 All-Star Game views. Long-time Pirate broadcaster Bob Prince is pictured in one shot introducing the starting line-up on Opening Day 1956. To top it off the cards come in a beautiful full color Collector’s Packet. This has to be the best set of color postcards ever produced on Forbes Field. Check out our 100% positive feedback rating. Many others try to sell our Forbes Field Memories postcards as individual postcards for much more than the price of ALL 24 Forbes Field Memories postcards. Please take note that this is the "COMPLETE" set of 24 FORBES FIELD MEMORIES postcards.
