Ibex Men's XL Silk-Merino Base Layer, Navy Heather, Long Sleeve Crewneck

Description: Featherweight Ibex base layer in 80% merino / 20% silk blend. Men's XL. Long sleeves, crewneck. Deep heathered navy blue. Excellent used condition, looks lightly worn overall. Minor repairs noted below. As a seamstress, I collect lightly damaged Ibex to restore to a long life. I choose pieces that I believe will last and are worth my time and your money. The original Ibexes tend to wear beautifully, look gorgeous, and remain comfortable in most temperatures for years. I do not know about the track record of this wool/silk blend. Both fibers are durable. Given the fineness of the knit, I would reserve it as a base layer, underneath abrasion resistant fabrics like the Ibex Shak double knit ponte. There are two repairs (last 5 photos): * The knit fabric had torn slightly at the right back side of the crewneck. Perhaps the lining material was too stiff for that corner, or it was a manufacturing flaw. I attached a piece of bias tape and stitched selectively so the collar can move, hopefully without stressing the knit fabric. The repair is hardly visible on the outside. * Two small frayed areas one one cuff that I stitched up. (Last 2 photos.) This garment can be machine washed on cold. (I use a mesh bag.) Air dry only.
