Beneath the portrait are laurel and oak branches tied with a ribbon. On the reverse side in the center there is an image of the Order of the Holy Great Martyr and the Victorious George on a ribbon, at the top there is a semicircular inscription: "FOR SERVICE AND CHARITY", below in a semicircle the inscription: "1769 NOVEMBER 26, 1869", on the right and left laurel and oak branches, fastened with a four-petal flower. The edge of the medal is smooth.Inscriptions, signatures: on the front side of the medalist's signature in the edge of the Emperor's left hand: "V. Alekseev R." On the reverse side, the medalist's signature at the bottom of the circle: "PM F" (P. Meshcheryakov).Attribution: The Order of the Holy Great Martyr and Victorious George was established by Empress Catherine II on November 26 (December 7), 1769 to distinguish officers for services on the battlefield.
