The JConcepts "F2" Body with Wing uses the latest design philosophies from the team at JConcepts. Built specifically to fit the specified chassis this F2 body has a lower profile cab lowering the center of gravity and looking great at the same time. Trim lines have also been updated throughout to make for a nicer fitting body with a slim front nose to fit just under the front shock tower. The rear side-pods have been simplified to allow smoother driving characteristics and more room for decal placement. The side-pods are JC chamfered to provide that legendary look and the secondary window shows off that JConcepts styling. The cab drops off quickly and runs deep toward the rear giving plenty of drift to the added winglets. The tall, rear fin stabilizer acts as a directional vain to keep the buggy tracking in the proper direction while also maintaining a rigid roof-line even with light-weight materials. The package arrives complete with two wings and has claimed IFMAR World Championships. A profiled cockpit and cubicle side-pod gives the Silencer an immediate fighting appearance. A smooth, high-speed transition around the cab keeps the Silencer heading in the right direction. A slight recess just behind the cab with channeling out the rear provides rear-end stability. The Silencer side-pods have a clipped rear-end, narrowing the rear by angling in just in front of the rear tires. The rear side-pods angle sharply toward the shock tower and wing, enhancing the force placed on the rear pods during high-speed acceleration. The main pods are lightly chamfered front and rear allowing plenty of paint and decal access. The end result has the body looking extremely low-profile with heavy JConcepts edginess and appeal. The Silencer is capped off with a cock-pit “shark fin" for more high-speed tracking stability and increased roof stiffness. The package includes two, S-Type wings. Success on the track – Ryan Maifield took the Silencer to the track during the annual Surf City Classic event earning a victory in prototype form. During the production release, Maifield once again had an incredible weekend at the 2017 IFMAR World Championships. Ryan scored with a breakthrough performance as he secured the IFMAR World Championship in the 4wd modified class utilizing the Silencer body. Notes from the team – After several race events, the JConcepts team has noted the back of the body has 2 cut lines to choose from. The most open cut line can change the performance or aide in the cooling inside the body. The more aggressive (larger opening) cut line is preferred on outdoor tracks or where ambient temperatures are really warm. With IFMAR Championship credibility backing this design, it is an easy choice. The S2 is a performer straight out of the package, includes the S-type rear wing to help deliver results on any racing circuit. A low overall height allows the S2 to whisk through the turns with a low center of mass while the progressive cab design provides plenty of front-end force for superior balance and steering. A channeled roof directs the flow through the center of the body while also increasing the rigidity of cockpit. The dual side-window design that has become famous on the JConcepts bodies remains to bring a traditional feel to the layout. The upper side-pods feature distinct vents used to help relieve hot air build-up inside the body for those high-powered runs or hot days at the track. Carved and detailed side-pods edge the body giving the highly aero unit a stylish look with a tight fit and finish. The S15 blends performance features from the popular Silencer body with updated features such as mid-body winglets and rear stabilizer kick-up. The roof of the body remains strong with the upper fin in position for stability and tracking ability.
