When the trigger is pulled it sends out neutralizing ions so that the record does not lose its sound quality due to static. The Stat gun does not take fluid or batteries, it works mechanically. Comes with the four items in picture and the holding tray with lid. I don't see anything cracked or broken. The fluids are mostly gone but refills are available on eBay. Enjoy!
