Description: Here we have a piece of rare red petrified palm wood from the Goldens Ranch Formation near Nephi, Utah. It dates back to the Oligocene time period and is most likely Palmoxylon hebberttii. I acquired this from an old collector in Pleasant Grove, Utah name Bob Oscerson. I purchased a lot of great petrified wood specimens from him.
