Description: Postcard - a real photo postcard. Mine at Powhatan / South is hand written on the back side. I note Powhatan is located in Powhatan County, Virginia not far outside of Richmond, Virginia. Shows a building and another structure with what appear to be large rock structures in the background. Various debris on the ground. This is an undivided back era postcard, and the AZO in the stamp box on the back side dates it to between 1907 and 1910. Average good / good condition, some areas of paper erosion in a number of places, but most prominent at the upper right area, where a number 3 is written at that corner area. Some wear at the corner tips and edges, some soiling / browning. Rare postcard for the specialist collector. An internet search indicates that a number of minerals were mined in Powhatan including Beryllium, Feldspar, Mica, Niobium and Tantalum.
