Description: I am offering a Rare Early 1900’s “Gotham Silk Garter” Glass Display Case. Gorgeous details on this case. Some light wear/scratches to the black lettering on the front. The glass is free of any cracks, and the case contains a spring loaded back door. This case measures 9 1/2” from left to right, 8 1/2” from front to back, and 5” in height. The bottom of this case originally contained 4 wood posts/ feet on the bottom of the case. The front two are now missing ( see last photo). The Gotham Silk Stocking Co. was founded in Philadelphia in 1911, and quickly expanded into New York City in 1912.
