Description: This Bawo and Dotter China head doll is a unique china and was made by the Hertwig factory for the New York doll importers Bawo and Dotter. The rear of the shoulder plate is inscribed with the manufacturer mark Pat. Dec 7/80 and number #6 for its size. It has the original antique muslin body and china limbs. The left thumb has been reglued and right pinkie chipped. The left boot has a leg reglue and right boot heel chip. The shoulder head is without imperfections and is very beautiful with very heavily blushed cheeks, single brown stroke eyebrows, blue shaded iris with no outlines, typical factory heart shaped mouth. Her complexion is clear. Has a simple center parted hairstyle with unpainted part line. Photos are part of the description. She wears antique pantilets and cotton slip. Her dark peach dress is high quality with a full cotton lace over skirt that was professionally made as a replacement for a flimsy melted original. She has a gold peach brooch with pearls that really adds to her ambiance. These china dolls sometimes have poor quality porcelain but this lady is beautiful. She would be a wonderful addition to a doll collectors antique ladies🌺
