Description: An antique Swiss Weber & Dubois ‘La Perfection’Niello full hunter pocket watch.Imperial Russian Novotcherkassk watch chatelaine with floral niello chain. The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the W&D mark for Weber & Dubois, ‘Brevette’ which means ‘pattent ’, and the brand name ''La Perfection''. The company Weber & Dubois was registered in October 1892 and they were based in La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover upon which is the name ‘La Perfection’. This movement I believe to be c-1909 While the beautiful niello case c-1895.The curvette Is marked with the austrian import mark used 1891 to 1901 also A for Vienna and KS mark. The watch itself measures 1 1/8 in. diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is not hallmarked but it has tested positively as being silver. The case is beautifully detailed to the front with Hunting scene horses, horsemen and hounds. The rear niello forest scene whith a floral and double curvy lines on the sides. The front cover is opened by pressing the winding crown in. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. The signed white enamel dial has a very nice appearance with ornate hands (initially set by way of the pin set mechanism), and Roman numerals surrounded by outer minute markers with Arabic numbers.It comes with: Imperial Russian Novotcherkassk 1850 watch chatelaine with floral niello chain.
