TESTED Chaika II half-frame 35mm camera made in USSR Industar 69 28/2.8 lens

Description: The legendary Chaika II, named after the nickname of the USSR's first female astronaut, Valentina Tereshkova. This is a well-built, fully mechanical camera with a simple leaf shutter behind a removable lens with M39 threads. The lens will fit on Leica screw-mount cameras, but the focus will be off and it will vignette. AFAIK the Industar 69 is the only lens ever maide for the Chaika, though they obviously intended to offer more. This camera sold reasonably well in the USSR but is not often found in the West. This is the 1st copy I have ever personally seen, though I have seen the lenses for sale quite often. I see a minor rust spot on one shutter leaf, does not affect function. Minor scuffs on top plate, and a bit of paint raising around the front of the lens. Camera displays very well, of course it is functional and will take great photos. I have used one of the lenses on a Leica (after adjusting the focus), the lens is quite capable within its angle of view. This is a great little camera and I'll be sad to see it go, but I no longer shoot 35mm. Fixed shipping $18 to USA and $28 to International / rest of the world.
