Description: A near mint circa 1900 finely illustrated one color advertising card flyer showcasing the Kicking Mule No 329 New Pattern Mechanical Bank. In incredible condition, clean and bright, no condition issues to note (no soiling, age spots or foxing, creasing, tears or stains). This mechanical bank has the mule kicking the boy over and the coin goes into the bank! The back is clean. Well cared for by collectors over the years. This flyer insert card is printed on regular weight paper stock (not hard card style). Typically these flyers were issued with the Stevens name on the imprint. The vast majority either have the J. & E. Stevens Co. imprint on the front under the instructions or are blank on the section under the instructions. The instructional and descriptive flyer was intended to be inserted inside the wooden box with the bank before leaving the factory with the J. & E. Stevens maker's attribution, or left blank to leave a space for the retailer. Rarely do one color insert card examples turn up with matching color imprints of retail store names or wholesale distributor names, such as this one has the imprint in same dark blue color National Novelty Corporation, Manufacturers, 826 and 828 Broadway, New York. The card measures 5 1/2 by 3 1/4 inches. Extremely rare and collectible, 100% original and authentic. If you have been looking for this card, this is the one to buy.
