Description: Stunning vintage Coro gold tone necklace with filigree tassel style hook clasp. It's designed with 15 strands, 11 gold chains and four with silver and translucent art glass beads in clear, amber, brown and yellow. Six of the strands are Egyptian style meander chains and the rest are cable style . The length is approximately 13" with a 2 3/4" extension. The front drop is about 3 1/4" long from the top chain to the bottom chain. Coro manufactured some of the most collectible vintage pieces today. The Coro costume jewelry company started doing business in 1901 and went out of business in 1979. In 1943, it was named Coro, as a contraction of the co-founder’s last names – COhn and ROsenberger. They were the largest costume jewelry manufacturer in the U.S. of the last century.
