Description: Up for sale is a vintage, lightly used Whitman coin book folder for US Half Dollars starting 1948 (No. 9266). From the “brown series" of Whitman folders, these expanded book folders have been a quality, economic option of the coin collecting community for many decades, and are an excellent way to protect, organize, and display your collection. Note: Folder is empty with no coins included. The folder features half dollar sized “lock-in” ports in a compact, fold-out design. There are 70 total ports in the folder: •35 labeled ports for all years/mint marks of Franklin Halves between 1948-1963-D•17 labeled ports for all years/mint marks of Kennedy Halves between 1964 – 1976-D•18 unlabeled ports to continue Kennedy half collection Folder measures 9-1/4” long and 7-1/2” wide. The folder is in excellent lightly used condition, with very few signs of previous use. All bindings are still complete and strong, with only a few small spots of wear at the top edges (see picture). All ports are crisp and clean. Some ports have been previously used, but most appear to have never had coins inserted. There are a few bumps/dings and spots of wear on the folder’s exterior corners/edges (see pictures). Other than some light handling and shelf wear, this folder is in excellent vintage condition.
